The Company Section at Ballywatt has been around for a long time and a lot of young men have come through the ranks.

The year for this section is a busy and varied programme of events including Battalion Competitions, excursions to sporting events, social nights and many other activities.

9 July 09: Our 2009 Annual Camp was in Derbyshire this year. I can't say very much about it as I had to return to Northern Ireland less than halfway through. As soon as I find out what happened I'll update this. In the meantime go to the photo section - as always we took far too many. Click on the photo [right] to see them all.

Mar 09: The Search for a Company Captain continues. As many of you know Moore McCurdy has decided to step down from his position as Captain of the 1st Ballywatt Boys' Brigade Company. He has been in charge for a few years and under his command the company has continued to thrive. He will be sorely missed - but the show must go on and we must find ourselves a new captain. This is a position of considerable responsibility and we would welcome your prayers.

July 08: Our Company Section have just arrived back (4th July) from our 2008 Camp. This year we took ferry and minibus across the Dales to Leeds, or just north of. We were extremely pleased to welcome back a couple of ex-members - Gary and Graham McNaugher had moved from Northern Ireland with their family a couple of years ago but drove across the country to join us for the week. It was also great to welcome three recruits to their first Ballywatt camp - I'm sure it won't be their last. It was a week of fun and friendship, high japes and good times. Check the photos here.

The GB were hosting their Coffee Evening this Friday (7th Dec) so we were forced out of Ballywatt this week. The Junior Section headed to Ballymoney for a Pantomime - and we headed to the Jet Centre for some 10 Pin Bowling action. You can see the photos and a video clip here.

The Annual Car Wash took place today (Sat 3rd November) and was a great success. We had been worried that we wouldn't do as well this year as we were sticking to one location rather than driving round the country. However, we were busy right through the day, and managed to raise over £500. A huge thank you to everyone who donated in what is our main fund raising event - the money, as always, will be put to good use. And thank you as well to all the boys who worked so hard today - your efforts were greatly appreciated. For photos of the work in progress check here.

The Company Section has started it's new 2007-2008 session. If you are aged between 11-17 you can still join. Get in contact for further details

BB Camp was in Northern Ireland this year. We spent a week living under canvas for a week in early July - not the best weather of the summer. For photos of our time in Millisle click here.
